Following his return to England, Sellers had a BBC audition and made an appearance on the television program "New To You" in 1948.
Later, he contacted BBC radio producer Roy Speer and introduced himself to him by posing as "Much Binding in the Marsh" actor Kenneth Horne.
Peter's performance impressed Speer, who allowed him to participate on "Show Time," and Sellers quickly established himself as a regular radio performer.
Peter provided the voices for a number of characters on "The Goon Program," which has been called "perhaps the most influential comedy show of all time," from 1951 until 1960.
