Chris Hemsworth has said that Netflix is already planning Extraction 3, even though Extraction 2 just came out. The movie Extraction 2, which is the sequel to the 2020 Netflix hit Extraction and was directed by Sam Hargrave and written by Joe Russo, ends with this idea. The unnamed Man in the Suit, played by Idris Elba, suggests that Chris Hemsworth's character, Tyler Rake, helps him get his term reduced by (probably) rescuing and killing more people.
Extraction 2 is almost exactly the same as the first one, and it seems to be going in the same direction as John Wick, a stunt-heavy series led by one of Hollywood's most bankable action stars. The movie's ending does leave the door open, but it's still not clear where the series will go from here.

Will There Be Extraction 3?

The Extraction movie series is about a black ops mercenary named Tyler Rake. It is based on the graphic book Ciudad by Ande Parks, Joe Russo, Anthony Russo, Fernando León González, and Eric Skillman. Chris Hemsworth plays the character in his most popular franchise part since Thor.
In the first Extraction movie, which will come out on Netflix in 2020, Rake has to save the stolen son of an Indian crime boss. In Extraction 2, which comes out in 2023, he is paid to break out of jail by the family of a Georgian gangster.

Hemsworth, Hargrave, Patrick Newall, Mike Larocca, Angela Russo-Otstot, Eric Gitter, Peter Schwerin, and Joe and Anthony Russo, also known as the Russo Brothers, all worked on "Extraction 2" as producers. Benjamin Grayson, Steven Scavelli, Christopher Markus, Stephen McFeely, and Jake Aust were some of the show's executive directors. Joe Russo came back for "Extraction 2" and wrote the script for it.
Three years later, Extraction 2 came out. It picked up with Rake, who was thought to be dead, saving innocent lives and killing people who were in his way. This was all part of the Russo brothers' plan to make an Extraction movie universe(opens in a new tab).
The first movie in the series came out in April 2020. At the time, it was the most-watched original film premiere in Netflix's history, with 99 million people watching it within the first four weeks. It got back into the Top 10 over the Fourth of July holiday weekend, making it the fourth most-watched streaming movie of 2020.
Even though Netflix hasn't given it the official go-ahead yet, Chris Hemsworth has said he'd be interested in doing Extraction 3 if people want it.“I love playing the character."he said. He also likes the world of Extraction, so he would be interested in going back to that world in a second book. Hemsworth says it's nice to have "something else outside of Marvel"to go back to. He also likes that the character and story are based "in the real world."Hemsworth said, "We'd be fools not to try another one"after saying that Extraction 2 is a better movie than the first one.
Sam Hargrave, who directed the first two movies, has also said that he would be interested in directing Extraction 3, and that there are a lot of story and world-building options for a third movie. Hargrave has said that “so much room for this franchise to expand.”He also said that Extraction 3 would depend on "how people feel and react" to Extraction 2, but that he would be interested in directing it "if the world is craving another Tyler Rake adventure."
Hargrave hinted that he has a story idea for Extraction 3, but he didn't say much about it. He said in the same interview, putting a damper on his confidence:
We’ll see how people feel and respond. And if the world is craving another Tyler Rake adventure, I think it’d be something I’d be interested in seeing put up on screen. I have an idea, but I won’t give it away here…- Sam Hargrave

Conclusion

"Extraction," the hit action series starring Chris Hemsworth, is getting a third journey. Sam Hargrave, an action star and director, made the newsat Netflix's Tudum event on June 16, two days after the premiere of "Extraction 2."
Extraction 3 was announced by Hemsworth and the film's director, Sam Hargrave, at Netflix's Tudum fan event on June 17, just one day after Extraction 2 was made available to watch. It's likely that Chris Hemsworth's main character, Tyler Rake, will do even more dangerous stunts and kill more people in Extraction 3.
