The 41-year-old "Hold Me Closer" singer posted a message on Twitter Thursday asking her many fans to take a step back after "some prank phone calls" led police to her house Tuesday night.
On Tuesday night, the Ventura County Sheriff's Office went to Spears's home in Thousand Oaks, California, because some fans were worried about her safety. When the "Toxic" singer's Instagram account went missing, her fans started to worry.
Britney Spears is asking fans and the public once again to respect her privacy after the police were called to her house after she deleted her Instagram account. Spears said in a statement posted on Twitter.

Britney Spears posted a video of herself dancing on Instagram and saying, "I changed my name to River Red."The singer then deleted her account, which made fans call the Ventura County Sheriff's Office to make sure she was okay. Britney Spears said:

A representative for the Ventura County Sheriff's Office said that deputies got a lot of calls Tuesday night around 11 p.m. from fans who were worried that Spears had deleted her Instagram account.
Out of an abundance of caution, we responded to her home for a check on her well-being and determined she was safe and in no danger.- Ventura County Sheriff's Office spokesperson
The singer has deleted and then reactivated her Instagram account several times in the past. She often uses it to vent about how frustrated she is that her conservatorship, which has since ended, limits what she can do and to talk to family members about problems. Her Twitter account is still up and running.
