Carter, who used to be a child star, sold millions of albums. She became well-known in the late 1990s when she opened for the Backstreet Boys. Nick, a member of an American boy band, who is also his brother, wrote online,
My heart is broken. Even though my brother and I have had a complicated relationship, my love for him has never ever faded. I have always held on to the hope that he would somehow, someday want to walk a healthy path and eventually find the help that he so desperately needed. Sometimes we want to blame someone or something for a loss, but the truth is that addiction and mental illness is the real villain here. I will miss my brother more than anyone will ever know. I love you Chizz. Now you can finally have the peace you could never find here on earth…. I love you baby brother.- Nick Carter
In his post, he said that their relationship had been tense at times, which led to the older Carter getting a restraining order against his younger brother in 2019. Nick said,
He was referring to Aaron's well-known problems, which reportedly included multiple trips to rehab. Kevin Richardson, another member of the Backstreet Boys, talked about the news during a show on Sunday night, which was caught on video and shared online.
He told the people at The 02 in London that the band had "heavy hearts because we lost one of our family members yesterday". In the clip, which was posted on the reviews website All That Dazzles, Richardson thanked fans for their support.
Nick Carter didn't say anything, so his bandmates comforted him. Then, the group played their song "Breathe" in honor of their former touring member.
Other stars, like Paris Hilton, Tyler Hilton, and Hilary Duff, as well as the bands New Kids on the Block and *NSYNC, have also posted tributes to the singer.
