Top Gun: Maverick (2022) | Special Announcement From the Set of #MissionImpossible (Tom Cruise)

The 60-year-old Hollywood action star posted a video on Sunday of himself jumping out of a plane and thanking fans for making "Top Gun: Maverick" a hit at the box office. Cruise shouts to the camera as he hangs out the plane door:
Hey everyone, here we are over stunning South Africa, and we’re filming 'Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning' parts one and two. I didn’t want the year to end without thanking you all for coming out to the theaters, and thank you for supporting 'Top Gun: Maverick.'- Tom Cruise, a 60-year-old Hollywood action star
The camera then moves to show Christopher McQuarrie, who directed "Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning" and is back in the action series. McQuarrie, who also helped write the script for "Top Gun: Maverick," tells Cruise that they are on set and "gotta get the shot" before turning down Cruise's offer to skydive with him.
Cruise, known for his own daredevil stunts, then leaps from the plane, turning back to face the camera as he free-falls. Before the action star comes to a conclusion before being swept away in a wind current into the ocean, he says:
As always, thank you for allowing us to entertain you. It truly is the honor of a lifetime. I’m running out of altitude, so I’ve got to get back to work. We’ve got to get this shot. You have a very safe and happy holiday. We’ll see you at the movies- Tom Cruise, a 60-year-old Hollywood action star
The website Variety says that "Top Gun: Maverick" is still the highest-grossing movie of the year. It made a huge $718 million in the U.S. and $1.4 billion around the world. The movie can be streamed on Paramount+ starting Dec. 22.
Variety is a website that has entertainment news, reviews, box office results, cover stories, videos, photo galleries, and features, as well as a credit database, production charts, and a calendar, with content dating back to 1905.

Tom is nuts. Celebrating life to the fullest. Respecting the fans but above all himself with the quality of work he’s putting in. Wish him nothing but health.

You really have to like and respect an actor who respects his audience and says thanks to them for supporting the workIt's a lesson the rest of Hollywood has forgotten.
Meanwhile, one user appreciates Tom Cruise dedication at work despite his age. He said: "60 years old ladies and gentleman. The man could ease up and do non-action films, or get stuntmen to do the heavy lifting. But no, he does everything on his own. What insane dedication to his craft."
Another user said:
Tom Cruise can put together a 2-minute thank you video to the fans that contains more practical shots and thrills than most modern movies can pack into 2 hours.
Lastly, a user named "CasualGamerPT" expressed:
You have to respect the man!! I went to watch Maverick with my 16 year old son, and as soon as the intro music started I had the chills and for the first time my son saw his dad shed a tier! I went way back to when I was 10 and saw Top Gun! Even he understood the references to first movie without ever seeing it- CasualGamerPT
Meanwhile, in "Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One," actorslike Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, and Henry Czerny, who has been in the series before, will be back.
