This weekend, the actress and comedian was the host of "Saturday Night Live." In her opening monologue, she told the audience that she is pregnant with her first child.
The "Hustlers" star wore a trench coat with snap buttons and said she wanted to "set the record straight" about "rumors going around" that she's having a baby. In her opening monologue, Palmer said,
People have been saying in my comments that Keke is having a baby or is pregnant, and I want to set the record straight. I am!- Keke Palmer
Palmer broke the big news by showing off her baby bump during a funny and animated speech about her big year, which included starring in "Nope" and being nominated for an Oscar, which she joked didn't really happen. While closing the clasps on her coat, Palmer then added:
I gotta say, it is bad when people on the Internet spread rumors about you, but it’s even worse when they’re correct!- Keke Palmer
She then joked that she had been trying to hide her pregnancy because she didn't want to lose some sponsorship deals, including one with a liquor label.
I was trying so hard to keep it on the down-low ’cause I got a lot of stuff going on. You know, people kept coming up to me, ‘Congratulations,’ and I’m like, ‘Shh, can y’all stop?' I got a liquor sponsorship on the line. Let the check clear, and then we can get to the damn baby shower. But honestly this is the biggest blessing, and I am so excited. She ended on a thought-provoking note.

She showed off her musical skills in a video with SZA praising "Big Boys," and she rocked "O, Holy Night" in a choir sketch. Palmer, who is 29, is having a baby with her boyfriend Darius Daulton, who is the brother of "Insecure" star Sarunas Jackson. Palmer and Sza were the hosts of the long-running NBC comedy sketch show.
