Who else is obsessed with "Wednesday?"
Since the Netflix show's debut on November 23, there have been numerous positive comments.
In a new video that was uploaded to "Still Watching Netflix," one of the streaming service's official YouTube channels, the actress who plays Wednesday Addams in the "Addams Family" spinoff, revealed information on choreographing for the first time.
In case you haven't heard, the plot of Wednesday centers on a young woman named Wednesday Addams (Ortega), who enrolls at Nevermore Academy and finds herself investigating a string of murders while also attempting to make new friends.
The pupils of Nevermore Academy go to the annual Rave'N Dance in episode 4, "Woe What a Night," with Wednesday begrudgingly going with Tyler (Hunter Doohan).
At the prom, Wednesday stands out in her gothic black dress amongst a sea of white gowns. Her strange dance moves make us think of an exorcism, but we can't take our eyes off her. Also, Jenna Ortega, who plays the lead, deserves praise for her performance.
Wednesday and Tyler hit the dance floor when the song "Goo Goo Muck" starts playing, and Wednesday does her signature Wednesday Addams dance.

Ortega talked with her co-stars about behind-the-scenes elements from the show, including the viral scene in which her adored character performs a mesmerizingly odd goth-inspired dance routine. Ortega planned the dances just a few days before director Tim Burton recorded the performance.
Even though Wednesday appeared to be the assured persona she is in the scene, Jenna admitted that she felt nervous about it when the actorsreacted to it in a TikTok video.
“„
I choreographed that myself and I think it’s very obvious that I’m not a dancer or choreographer.- Jenna Ortega
The castmates, though, reassured Jenna that the sequence was their favorite and that it "was amazing," "awesome," and all of that. In the end, Jenna could only smile at herself.
Percy Hynes White, who plays Xavier, joined in and offered encouragement, stating:
“„
I can watch an entire show of just this.
For the most part, Ortega used "archival film of goths dancing in clubs" as inspiration for creating the routine for the title character.
She acknowledged Lisa Loring, Lene Lovich, Bob Fosse's Rich Man's Frug, and Denis Lavant on Twitter last month for their assistance with the scene.
Akeen fan noticed that Wednesday briefly imitated another well-known dance move done by the first Wednesday on-screen, Lisa Loring, from the 1960s TV series "The Addams Family." The quick dance steps were inspired by Wednesday (Loring) teaching Lurch "The Drew" in the episode "Lurch's Grand Romance."
The sequence concludes with the Nevermore students getting doused in fake blood after the dance is disrupted by some local teenagers playing a joke and setting off the sprinklers.

Her time at Nevermore Academy is chronicled in "Wednesday," as she strives to develop her psychic talents, stop a terrifying killing spree from frightening their community, and solve the paranormal case that implicated her parents 25 years ago.
