Even though it rained a lot in Los Angeles on Sunday, the sky was full of stars. The Critics Choice Awards 2023 were the next event in the awards season.

The critics are pointing out the things they like best. On Sunday night, at the Critics Choice Awards 2023, the Critics Choice Association announced the best movies and TV shows of 2022. Chelsea Handler hosted the ceremony, which was shown on The CW.
Everything Everywhere All at Once got the most nominations for a movie, with 14. On TV, the most nominations went to the ABC comedy Abbott Elementary, which got a total of six.
Janelle Monáe, who was in the movie Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, won the seventh annual SeeHer Award, and Jeff Bridges was given the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Critics’ Choice Awards highlights

On Sunday night, the Critics' Choice Awards were given out again during a three-hour show hosted by Chelsea Handler. The show was broadcast live at 7/6c on The CW from the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles.
The last season of Better Call Saul had the most wins on TV. The AMC drama won three awards for Best Drama Series, as well as Best Actor for Bob Odenkirk and Best Supporting Actor for Giancarlo Esposito.
ABC's Abbott Elementary won two of the six awards it was nominated for in the comedy category: Best Comedy Series and Best Supporting Actress for Sheryl Lee Ralph.
Abbott and Hulu's The Dropout both won two awards. The Dropout won Best Limited Series and Amanda Seyfried won Best Actress in a Limited Series for her role in the show.
