This grim retelling of the "Teen Titans" franchise follows young heroes from all throughout the DC Universe as they grow up and discover their place in the world.
Dick Grayson and Rachel Roth, a unique young woman tormented by a peculiar darkness, become embroiled in a plot that threatens to bring hell to Earth.
Along the journey, they're joined by the fiery Starfire and the charming Beast Boy. Together, they form a surrogate family and a squad of heroes fighting evil.

Why Did Donna Troy Leave The Titans?

During the season three of "Titans," Donna Troy mosty had a difficult time.
Because she was absent for the majority of the said season due to her questionable death in the prior DC Universe show's season two finale, she didn't appear until the ninth episode (except for a brief dream scene in the fifth episode). And when she did, she was shown to be in the purgatory.
While catching up with Hank and assisting Tim Drake in resuming his life (all while Rachel attempted to resuscitate her on Themyscira), Donna debated whether she should return to Themyscira herself. Finally, she agreed with Wonder Girl that Jonathan Crane and Jason Todd had to be stopped.
Donna's mission for the rest of the season was to safeguard Tim's family and reclaim control of Gotham City from the Scarecrow and Red Hood. While she did all of these and assisted the Titans in achieving their ultimate aim of destroying Crane, the season finale left her in an intriguing position.
Most of the Titans opted to return to San Francisco (presumably in the hopes of resurrecting the Tower), but Donna declined, preferring instead to spend time with Dawn in Paris. And this has cast doubt on Wonder Girl's future on the show.
