Baghdad, the city of Iraq is her hometown and till date, she continues to reside there as a national citizen. Her father, Talaat Sattar and mother, Entesar Daway has been very kind and considerate towards Shams in their parenting. Excluding herself, she has four more siblings. She is single and not yet bonded in a relationship. Her initial education is from Ashbal School and Al Arfan School. For higher education, she got admitted in Al-Bahrain University from where she completed her degree program in Information Technology Engineering and System Development. She went for further studies in the field of Entrepreneurship and Gender Equality from Maastricht School of Management on scholarship basis. Many of her personality traits are parallel to what her zodiac, Taurus qualifies for; as she is very determined, hard-working and dedicated.
Professional Career
Shams belonged to a middle class stature family which was not privileged enough to cater to luxuries. The year 2004 served as a crucial year for Shams’ future. It was the year when she bought her first computer and was very much interested in the world of soft wares. She was very fond of exploring several tools of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint. She became pro at the usage of PowerPoint and slideshow techniques. The process seemed quite intriguing and caught her attention for a long period of time. Currently, she is appointed as the marketing manager for Infinix company headquarters in Iraq. She has supervised various projects in the capacity of a Web designer. Her core expertise is in the skill of marketing. She is credited with the MVT Transsionor award as best marketing manager for her performance and services for the Iraqi Infinix Company. Such awards warrant her professional credibility and reliability as the managing head of the company.
Contribution to Initiatives
At the age of 17 only, she also tried for an exchange of degree program in the USA through the Young Leader’s Program offered by Iraq state. Admission in extracurricular courses and programs provided her with the required exposure and helped her to grow in the public sphere. This further polished her skills and nurtured her professional growth. It was not only her first experience to participate in international or national activities; rather she did so in her collegeyears as well. She has always supported progressive agendas and that is the reason that she supported several campaigns. One such, involved women empowerment in the arena of management and programming.She has contributed to numerous such sessions, initiatives, workshops and programs for the betterment and prosperity of people and society. She has rendered her services for well-acclaimed programs offered from China, Japan and large Scale webs i.e. Google.

Many people are of the point of view that luck and destiny plays a vital role in the life happenings of an individual. Yet, Shams proved this wrong by her focused determination towards her dream and passion for pursuing marketing. The turbulent situations which women need to face are quite evident in many parts of the world. The rejection of independence and financial stability is equivalent to negating the rights of women. Shams has made her point that female inclusion in business sectors can bring fame, repute and positive light to the individual as well as his/her state. Shams’ family acted as a spinal cord for her so she may achieve her ambitions. In her early years, she was carefree yet she was a genius due to her creative cognitive skills. Tech - market is a domain usually imposed with gender disparity but having a major designation in the tech-industry makes her a representative for several other tech-oriented female masses. Being an inspiration for many, Shams has set the benchmark very high to make the men rethink and re-evaluate the status and agency women hold in the business community.
